İşverenlerin Her Bir Şeyi Öğrenebileceği 8 Instagram Hesabı

664

Back in late 2011, a little known mobile app that went by the name of Instagram, had a healthy but still relatively small legion of about 10 million users. Fast forward 6 years, and that little legion has ballooned into an army of over 300 million active monthly users (12 million more than Twitter and about 230 million more than fellow image sharing app, Pinterest!). Yes, Instagram is fast becoming one of the most popular social media sites in the world. And as you know from our previous blog posts, it’s also fast becoming one of the most important social sites for employers and recruiters to attract candidates.

In the past, we’ve been keen to help provide a little inspiration when it comes to posting job ads on the site, but today we’re keen to inspire you when it comes to creating and maintaining your account as a whole by introducing you to 8 of the best recruitment-related Instagram accounts operating at the moment:

Mindaugas Petrutis @mindaugas_petrutis

Mindaugas is a self-taught, Instagram job ad genius. If you fancy yourself a creative when it comes to creating engaging job ads, you ain’t seen nothin’ until you’ve followed Mindaugas on Instagram. Although his account is used primarily as personal one, he also uses it to post job ads of his own creation for open roles he’s hiring for. For all of you tech recruiters out there, Mindaugas’s client base consists primarily of developers and designers, which means almost all of his unique, one of a kind job ads are aimed towards them. Take this ad for a UI Developer for example:

You would be mad not to apply! #Galway #hiring #jobfairy #jobsearch #jobs #irishjobs #irish #ireland #recruitment #UI #developer #angularjs #html5 #css3 #jquery #best #bestoftheday #picoftheday #pic #instalike #insta #instagood #instadaily #instamood #instacool #getintouch #like #likes #love #guinness   A photo posted by Mindaugas Petrutis (@mindaugas_petrutis) on Jul 2, 2015 at 7:47am PDT

Galway, Ireland is famed for its annual Oyster festival and Mindaugas has used this to his advantage when advertising a job for a UI Developer in the city. You can taste the freshness of the oysters and the hint of lemon. You can feel the cold glass of the pint of Guinness in your hand. You can even hear the sounds of the chat, craic and cèilidh in the background! This is Galway in a nutshell and as Mindaugus says, looking at this “you would be mad not to apply” for the role! Mindaugas’s ads are creative, colourful, well thought out and (most importantly) are relevant and resonate with his audience of developers and designers. They are also all easily findable thanks to Mindaugas’s hashtagging skills. Late last year he let us in on a few trade secrets when it comes to creating his Instagram job ads, so once you’ve followed him on Instagram, head on over to

Think Big Fish @thinkbigfish

“We’re thinkers, We’re dreamers. We craft big ideas and deliver real results”, such is the tagline on this creative agency’s website and such is the sense you get when you take a scroll through their unbelievably beautiful Instagram account. What I really love (and what I hope, recruiters everywhere will notice and take note of), is how consistent, coherant and well thought out Think Big Fish’s account is. It’s obvious that they have put a lot of thought and effort into how they wanted their account to look and how they want to come across as a business to their followers and any potential candidates. It’s all about sharp photography, edgy angles, clean lines and white space – each of which they use in portraying the following:

Team meetings and brainstorming sessions
Campaigns being worked on and the creative process
Office shenanigans
Coffee breaks with sweet treats
Staff outings to black tie events and outdoor pursuits

The result is a visually stunning account that sets Think Big Fish apart from other agencies as the place to be. This account proves how important it is to properly plan out what you want your Instagram account to look like and therefore, say about you as a business and an employer.

General Electric @generalelectric

Talk about if you’ve got something, flaunt it! GE are exceptionally proud of the work they do, which is why they have chosen to expertly use Instagram to show off behind-the-scenes images of intricate machinery and engineering projects that the firm is creating and undertaking. The type of images that can be found on their account, include:

up-close pictures of huge engines captioned with all its high-tech specs (like the one below)

images and drawings of brand new prototypes

photos of state-of-the-art processes complete with tell-all captions

snaps of employees going about their daily tasks in factories all over the world and having fun

Or, in other words, all the stuff mechanical types and fans of a brand like GE, absolutely adore! It’s not surprising GE’s posts often receive over and above 1,500 likes and 100 comments each, from fascinated and engaged followers. GE know their audience and how to excite them with their pictures. They post regularly, their photography is always beautiful (lighting etc.) and if your company are well known for producing a product or service, look to GE for the best ways to show it off in Instagram.

Flying high! After assembly, each production engine is run throughout the entire flight envelope — from takeoff to cruise to landing — before being shipped to an airframer for installation on an aircraft. Recruiter Life @recruiter_life

This brand new Instagram account has been set up by its creator to host all of the funniest recruiting memes from around the internet in one place. It won’t necessarily teach you anything, but it’s witty recruitment-related memes are guaranteed to add some sunshine to your feed, and who doesn’t need a bit of that?!

Anyone outside of recruiting would think this is absurd! But we do it, sometimes all too often 😂   A photo posted by @recruiter_life on Jan 24, 2016 at 2:28pm PST

Marriott Careers @marriottcareers

Marriott has been leading the way in creating a stellar employer brand on Instagram for a few years now with their dedicated Marriott Careers page, and their Find Your World motto only adds to their inspiring careers page, dedicated to their happy employees. Here’s what you’ll find on their account:

Pictures of smiling employees with a note about the company and how long they have been with Marriott

Photos of staff playing around (like in the image below)

Hashtags of the countries from which employee’s come from or work in

Beautiful shots of Marriott hotel locations

Inspirational quotes

Media recognition

Marriott strike a perfect balance on their Instagram when it comes to employer branding. They’re excellent at incorporating all aspects of their brand including their people having fun at work, they’re people being serious at work, the stunning locations their people work and what they get up to there in their down time, the awards they receive, and the charitable projects they’re staff are a part of.

Salesforce Jobs @salesforcejobs

Great software and an even better Instagram account! Like TEKsystems, Salesforce acknowledge the fact that their people are their best asset when it comes to attracting new candidates, so they have consciously dedicated their Instagram account to their employees (including the canine kind) and what they get up to on a daily basis both inside and outside the Salesforce office. Here’s what you’ll find:

Photos of everyday life  (Hawaiian Shirt Day, holiday office decoration competitions, Halloween etc.) in the Salesforce office, which show off not only employees’ desk space and office environment but also the really fun amenities staff have access to
Really cute shots of the numerous Salesforce office dogs which offers great insight into the company’s culture
Awards and media recognition they’ve received
Pictures from events, conferences and charity outings/projects they’re staff are attending
Sneak peaks at new projects the team is working on

PAWS helps pet owners keep their animals healthy when their own situations make it difficult to give the care they need. Big shout out to the Salesforce Customer Centric Engineering team for spending an afternoon washing these cuties. #volunteeringrocks   A photo posted by Salesforce #dreamjob (@salesforcejobs) on Aug 12, 2015 at 11:01am PDT

Yelp Careers @yelpcareers

I love the Yelp Careers Instagram for one reason and one reason alone: #TakeoverTuesday. It’s the hashtag EVERY company with an Instagram should be trying to use on a weekly basis and one we’re trying to make happen on our own account regularly. #TakeoverTuesday sees Yelp’s Instagram account entrusted directly into the hands of a different employee each week, who then goes about taking and posting pictures of their own typical work day and explaining all the different facets of it, on the company’s Instagram account.

Today we have our PHX IT meeting. We talk about any big changes that we need to make, updates on our projects and of course, Star Wars Episode VII (How good was that movie?!) -BC #TakeoverTuesday A photo posted by Yelp Careers (@yelpcareers) on Jan 19, 2016 at 3:43pm PST

It’s nothing more and nothing less, yet it is one of the most effective efforts I’ve seen of a company trying to really put potential candidates in current employees shoes and helping them envision and experience life in their company.
